Our Awesome Travel in El Nido, Palawan - Day 1

Hi. I'm Edwin (below left picture) and the picture beside my picture is my wife rheA.
We love to eat, travel and to take pictures.

This is Our Awesome Travel in El Nido, Palawan.
It was our first time in El Nido but definitely will not be the last

It was September of last year (2010) when we finally decided that we will celebrate our honeymoon in El Nido.

So Rhea (she was my GF then) excitingly booked a plane ticket for two; Jan. 10 (Manila to Palawan) and Jan. 13 (Palawan to Manila). She also found a place that will be staying for 4 days & 3 nights. Thanks Mine your the best. :)

Our journey began two days after we got married.

Day 1 (January 10):
One hour flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa.

arrived

Arrived at Puerto Princesa Airport. Another 15mins tricycle drive, bringing us to Savior terminal.

* Savior Terminal - one of the van terminals for public commuters that will take you from Puerto Princesa to El Nido.

It was 11am when we left the terminal, but before we leave I took some picture first...

You may want to take note of the below info regarding transpo and travel time:

After almost 2 hrs of drive we had our stop over and had our lunch at Fort Wally canteen at Roxas, Palawan. Then, another 4 hours of non stop drive to El Nido...

A total 6 hours travel time, finally, El Nido.

Arrived at Savior terminal at El Nido, a man approached us asking if we are Edwin and Rhea. After we confirmed, he introduced himself (his name is Mang Rudy) then brought us to our place (ViewDeck Cottage).

It was already evening when we checked-in to our cottage/room and we were very tired and hungry.
(Thank God! Our 4 day package includes all meals, so we need not to worry about food)

We are blessed because the location of our cottage has a great view...

Finally, diner is ready... Specially delivered and served by Mang Rudy and his 2 teenager assistants.

While we're having dinner, Mang Rudy stayed and had conversation with us. He's simple and very humble and we learned so many things about El Nido with him. He also told us about our package tour. This is the first time we learned about our package tour itinerary.

Our package tour includes:

Package A : Big and Small Lagoon, Entalula Island, Shimizu Beach and 7 Commandos Beach.
Package B : Snake Island, Codognon, Pinasil Islet, Inabuyutan, and Ipil Beach.

Dinner was very fulfilling. Had 2 pcs. of medium size Lapu-lapu fish, platter of large shrimps, veggies, rice, and banana for dessert.
So full... then I asked for a hot coffee -- hot coffee delivered in no time...

Mang Rudy was very accommodating and every entertaining which is why we didn't notice that it's getting late already, so he bid us goodnight and will see him tomorrow morning.. the end of Day One...
