Off to Boracay - Day 1

We're both first timers and excited. :)

It was our 2nd anniversary treat for each other.
This is the break that we've been waiting for; to spend more time with each other. =)

Thankfully, we grabbed the opportunity of Cebu Pacific P10 promo; we already booked this trip I think as early as July 2012.

Going to Boracay via Caticlan (1/25/2013) and back to Manila via Kalibo (1/28/2013).
It really was a budget friendly.

We stayed at Station 2 - La Carmela de Boracay. Thanks to tita Elen for helping us getting a discount.

We stayed in La Carmela for 4days and 3nights with free breakfast. Services and amenities are great. As for the breakfast, they almost have the same breakfast everyday.

Mid day when we arrived in Boracay.
Upon settled in La Carmela, we went to the market and have some "paluto" (just buy fresh sea-foods, bring it to the restaurant, and they'll cook it for you)  for lunch.

I think we gain 10lbs. for that sumptuous superb lunch. Burp! Burp! Burp!... Burp! Burrrrrppp! =)

After lunch, we had Gelato for dessert then head to Station 1.

If you noticed, the beach was partially covered by moss. The green algae.
Boracay locals confirmed that during this time, the beach often had green algae but eventually will disappear by the end of summer season.

Beach walk was too exhausting hot. I haven't gone for swim yet but I think my skin went from tan to dark already. =)

We didn't go to any further Station 1. We decided to stop at Jonas Fruit Shake ant Snack Bar for refreshments...

Banana Choco Vanilla for me and Banana Choco Peanut for Rhea. It costs P90/each + 10% service charge.
On their tag line, "The Best Fruitshake in the Island". Yeah! they are truly the best fruit shake in the island.
It's a must when you happen to go to Boracay.

It really was a very long exhausting beach walk from Station 2 to Station 1.
With that distance, we went back to La Carmela, to rest, bathe (no swimming for today) and sleep... then buffet dinner and coffee.

I remember Rhea's legs were still shaking when we went back to the hotel.

Rhea and I agreed that every anniversary, we'll make lists of our goals, and prayer requests that we'll try to accomplish for the whole year. We'll write it on a clean paper and sealed it and will open it on our next anniversary.
This is to know which goal and prayer request has been accomplished and answered.
Whatever that result is we just want to praise and thank God for everything.

While having coffee, we prayed and opened our 2012 goals and prayer requests. To our surprise, that most of our prayer requests have been answered. Yey! Praise God!

  2. Some says, going to Boracay is too expensive, but in reality it's not, right? :)
Why not, there are promo airfares out there, and there are also countless of cheap hotels in Boracay for accommodation, as well as great restaurants.
